Farmer's Market 2012Welcome to the Davison Farmers Market's 24th season!
What an exciting time of the year! I am happy to announce that I will be your new Market Master. I look forward to another great season! We've decided to move the market back to the Shopper's Alley location after asking the Downtown businesses and some vendors for their input. I'm looking to add new and exciting activities/events to this years market.
I am looking for vendors to sell home-grown and home-produced items, such as farm-fresh local produce, craft items, garden plants, organic fruits and vegetables, bakery goods and much, much more!
The Davison Farmer's Market is scheduled to be open every Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. beginning July 6th through September 14th. The market will be located in the parking lot at the base of East Second Street, just two blocks east of M-15 in Downtown Davison. You will need to provide your own coverings, tables and chairs. The cost for one space at the market will be $25.00 daily or $110.00 for the season.
As in the past, a theme will be set each week and local musical acts will entertain at each weeks market. The weekly Vendor's Market Basket drawing is a HUGE success! Vendors will be asked again every week to contribute towards the Gift Basket Drawing. The Farmer's Market Rules, an Agreement of Compliance Form, and a Reservation Form are available on the city website, www.cityofdavison.org. If you require forms be sent to you, please contact me. The Reservation Form and Agreement of Compliance Form, along with your check, need to be completed and returned to the City of Davison offices for you to be eligible to sell at the market. Please have your reservation in our office by June 29th before 4p.m. if you desire a seasonal rate.
If you have any questions regarding the Farmer's Market, please feel free to contact me by phone at 810-931-0483 or by e-mail at texdimi@yahoo.com. I look forward to seeing you at the 2012 Davison Farmer's Market!
FORMS
Sincerely,
Diane Millington

Shop with a Hero!Davison City Police, along with Davison Township Police, Richfield Township Police, and Davison/Richfield Fire Department, in conjunction with Meijer, hosted another "Shop with a Hero" program. On Thursday, December 15, 2011, children throughout the Davison school district were able to shop for Christmas gifts with either a police officer or a fire fighter. Meijer provided a debit card to each child so they could purchase gifts for their families. What a great way to make Christmas a little brighter for our community!
