Unsolicited Water System Mailing

Recently, several residents have received an unsolicited mailing from a company identified as Home Service USA. This company offers a service sthat can be best described as an insurance policy to cover the water line from the City's water main to your home. While it is true that you (the property owner) are responsible for that portion of the water system, the likelihood of breaks or problems with that portion of the water system is minimal. That is not to say that such problems may not occur: the City cannot make such a guarantee. The City does not endorse the service offered by Home Service USA nor does the City have any relationship with that company. Although the cost of the service is somewhat small, please take the time to investigate whether this (or any other service) is appropriate for you and your property. Your existing homeowners insurance may provide similar coverage. If you have any questions, please contact City Hall.
